Composition: Liposomal dispersion of phosphatidylcholine (INCI: Lecithin) with pure epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). The fumaric acid containing active agent is adjusted at pH 4 - optimal for EGCG.

INCI: Aqua, Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sorbitol, Phosphatidylcholine, Epigallocatechin Gallate, Vitis Vinifera Seed Extract, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Fumarate, Disodium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate.

Properties: Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) modulates the protein kinase inhibitor p57, which controls the formation of keratins and filaggrins in the skin. In this way more filaggrins are formed, skin thickness is increased and skin aging is slowed. People with irritated, reddened and cracked skin often suffer from filaggrin deficiency.

Collagenase inhibiting properties of EGCG are described in the literature too.

EGCG liposomes are used as well as anti-aging active agent as for treatment and regeneration of irritated, reddened and cracked skin.

Liposomes ensure the optimal availability of EGCG in the skin.

Application: 

• Additive for DMS base creams.
• Local skin treatment by applying the pure concentrate. The pure active agent shows the highest efficacy.

Remarks: The concentrated active agent should be applied sparingly to the skin similar to dabbing in an ampoule product.
